Investment committee report

Key functions and responsibilities

The investment committee was constituted in February 2016 and currently comprises two executive directors and two non-executive directors. Its primary purpose is to evaluate and, if appropriate, approve potential acquisitions or disposals identified by the executive team.

The committee meets on an ad hoc basis to review investment proposals relating to acquisitions, new developments and/or substantial redevelopments. The authority limit of the committee is for transactions up to and including the lesser of R200 million and 5% of market capitalisation. The committee makes recommendations to the board regarding proposed transactions that exceed its level of authority.

The committee is satisfied that it has fulfilled its responsibilities in accordance with its terms of reference for the reporting period.
